“I was on vacation in France in 2002 (I was 7 or 8 back then) and I visited a local toy store multiple times because they had really cool stuff. But then, one day I saw a cylinder-shaped oil and water emulsion toy with spiral stairs inside that you can put upside down all the time and then you see little drops of blue oil rolling down in a spiral. It was so satisfying to watch, even better than a lava lamp! They had them in blue or pink. I wanted the blue one, but my mom didn’t want to buy it for me. For years I was searching for it as a child but I never found it in another store, not even on my next visit to France. I was so in love with that thing…but one year ago at the end of 2016, I visited a store in my country that I’ve known for years, and there I found them! I was so happy to finally see them after years of searching that I almost cried, they even had one in purple! —s4ef321550
The ONE Piano Hi-Lite was another education tool that was quite clever. A long strip with sensors on the bottom, the Hi-Lite is placed on top of your existing piano’s keyboard and then connected with an app for iPad or iPhone. It then works Guitar Hero-style to teach you how to learn theory and play songs, with keys lighting up along the strip as notes appear on screen.

As long as you have the Canary Flex HD Security Camera, you can easily mount this anywhere, be it indoors or outdoors. Its excellent weatherproofed design helps make it an excellent outdoor security solution without the need for installing additional electrical outlets to keep it fully operating. Of course, plugging it means you’ve got round-the-clock security. But, its batteries should still last you many hours before recharging. The Canary Flex comes with motion sensors and adaptable camera articulation to make home security surveillance a breeze.
As a little aside, there were a couple companies that were trying to tackle the combination of music and VR. Aerodrums, a company that allows you to drum without a drum set, has just introduced a VR component. Aerodrums works with traditional drum sticks that have reflective balls at the tip and reflective panels that are attached to your feet. A camera then captures any movements made, allowing you to drum without a physical kit (and, when fed into headphones, without making any noise!). The new upgrade takes this same format but now allows for more immersive drumming using a VR headset. Some drumming pros I spoke said that although they might not use the VR component themselves, they could see it being incredibly useful for beginners, and as a tool for delivering drum lessons. This was the overall vibe I got from most VR experiences — perhaps fun for beginners, but in terms of a viable alternative for pros, not quite there yet (or maybe just not needed).

The usage of the term in military parlance extended beyond the navy. In the book “Above the Battle” by Vivian Drake, published in 1918 by D. Some gadgets were good, some comic and some extraordinary.”[4]

Vinyl has seen a major renaissance in the last few years. In fact, a good number of contemporary artists have begun releasing their records on vinyl again. Perhaps it’s nostalgia, or maybe it really does sound better. In any case, if you want to get in on the experience, you’d be hard-pressed to find a better all-around turntable than the Rega Planar 2. It offers high-fidelity playback, reliable tech, and looks beautiful.
