We keep a close eye on anything new that comes out. Typically, we have to look at gadgets that are completely new and standalone. One of just two televisions that made it to this list, the Samsung Q8C TV promises big things and it delivers. In case you aren’t familiar with QLED, the Q stands for “quantum dot” technology – a method of providing brighter, truer-to-colour images. This tech improves everything from on-screen colour to contrast, sharpness and even the viewing experience at wide angles. The set is minimalist, curved, near bezel-less and connected to everything you could ask for. Just so you know, the wall mount is the way to go.
Whenever anyone says white space, then we literally visualize white blank/empty spaces in our mind (white space can be of any color though). Well, that is true and is applicable even while designing. White space is actually the space that exists between elements to give a clean look to your web design. These days, many […]

Skully Technologies launched an ill-fated Indiegogo campaign in 2016, raising nearly $2.5 million in preorders for a motorcycle helmet with AR features, and then folding. Backers of that campaign will soon receive the Fenix AR — a helmet with a rear-view camera that displays a 180-degree view on a transparent display. It supports turn-by-turn navigation and  (when connected to a phone via Bluetooth) voice commands, making phone calls and playing music.

Facial recognition, built-in assistant, 4K sensor, HD recording, cloud storage. It sure sounds like it should be a phone, but that’s actually the highlight reel for the indoor Nest Cam IQ. It’s a sophisticated security camera that will feature Google Assistant and, not only could it help catch high-quality footage of intruders, it’s perfect for a whole range of other things: the kids, film and share, create time lapses, keep an eye out for friends/family about your home, or simply to use Google Assistant. As Nest so aptly puts it at the bottom of its site, “PS It’s beautiful.”
Lenovo’s long-running ThinkPad lineup is getting some worthwhile new additions at this year’s CES. Both new ThinkPad computers include a dazzling HDR display, a built-in physical webcam cover, and far-field microphones for speaking to Amazon’s Alexa and Microsoft’s Cortana. The two laptops also run on Intel’s newest eighth-generation processors.
Did you really think Amazon was going to sit back and watch as Google Assistant and Apple Homepod take over? Alexa is back, bigger and better, housed inside the Amazon Echo Plus. Like the original Echo, it’s hands-free, recognises your voice and connects you to all your applications. The upgrade links you to your home via a smart home hub and understands you better due to increased “wake word performance” and an ever-expanding list of skills.
I’m in tourist central New York, and I see a ton of visitors toting Fujifilm Instax cameras. But I don’t think I’ve ever seen one of the Polaroid Snap models in the wild. That might change with this charmingly designed instant camera that doesn’t discard digital conveniences.
It may look like your average laptop, but there’s no Intel inside. Instead, there’s a slot where the touchpad would normally be for you to dock Razer’s own Android-powered phone. Now you’ve got a Frankenstein’s monster with the phone as the brain — serving up its processor, operating system and apps — in the body of a Blade Stealth laptop.
There are tons of cool gadgets for men out there. Of course, with all of the new technology coming out nowadays — in a seemingly neverending flow of Kickstarters and IndieGoGo campaigns — it can be tough to sort out which gadgets are actually, in fact, cool. We’ve seen some crazy new tech come out recently, and some of these solve a common problem men might have. Of course, some of them are simply just great to look at, but we prefer cool products that actually show innovation and creativity.
Check out the Spire Health Tag. This small gadget sticks to the inside of your bra, shirt, pants, or pajamas. Once adhered to your clothing, you don’t have to do a thing. Endless gets its cool cred in part from its intentions. The Endless computers are small, cheap and optimized for areas where internet access is unpredictable. This year’s models have a more sophisticated design than its Mini plastic ball. Though they don’t run a standard operation system, they come piled with applications. Plus, the systems will also work with its Endless Code initiative, a preinstalled package of tutorials and tools for teenage-level prospective coders.
Apple has managed to knock itself off the top spot for best smartwatch with the excellent Apple Watch 3. It will look very familiar to anyone who has the Apple Watch 2, as it’s basically the same frame with different innards, but those innards make all the difference.
This prototype phone shown by Chinese phonemaker Vivo has no official name, price or sale date. But its virtual home button, which appears only when you need it and then gets out of the way, may be a harbinger of things to come. It’s a killer feature that was rumored for both the iPhone X and Samsung Galaxy S8 — neither of which had it. We’re clinging to the hope that it finds its way onto the forthcoming Samsung Galaxy S9.
The usage of the term in military parlance extended beyond the navy. In the book “Above the Battle” by Vivian Drake, published in 1918 by D. Appleton & Co., of New York and London, being the memoirs of a pilot in the British Royal Flying Corps, there is the following passage: “Our ennui was occasionally relieved by new gadgets — “gadget” is the Flying Corps slang for invention! Some gadgets were good, some comic and some extraordinary.”[4]
